Whether you're making it with your kids or indulging your inner child, this Tubby Custard-inspired dessert brought to life by Wemo Bakes makes the perfect fun baking activity! It's easy to make and guaranteed to bring joy to your kitchen!

Servings: 3-4
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup whole milk (355ml)
1/3 cup granulated sugar (65g)
2 large egg yolks
1 1/2 tbsp corn starch (15g)
2 tsp vanilla extract (10ml)
Pink gel food colouring
1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp + 1 tsp unsalted cubed butter (20g)
Instructions:
In a heavy bottom pot over medium heat (induction heat 5), bring the milk to a simmer.
While the milk is simmering, prepare the egg yolk mixture. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks, corn starch, salt, vanilla extract and granulated sugar until well combined.
Once the milk has simmered, take it off the heat and slowly add it to the egg yolk mixture in 3 parts. Mixing vigorously after each addition.
Pour the custard back into the pot and add the pink gel food colouring. Mix well then cook on medium heat (induction heat 6) for five minutes while continuously whisking until thickened.
You’ll know it’s ready when slow bubbles form and the custard coats the back of a spoon. Avoid over cooking!
Take it off the heat and add the butter while it’s still hot. Mix well until fully incorporated.
Transfer to a separate bowl and cover with plastic film.
Allow to cool to room temperature then refrigerate for 30-40 mins.
Serve as is with your favourite toppings or use it for other things like banana pudding and trifles!
